Each month we will provide a new cocktail suggestion for you to try at home, we think you will love them as much as we do.
Cocktail recipe of the month
November brings with it misty morns, not only referring to the weather but also Redsmith's gin cocktail of the month.
- 25ml Redsmith Aranceto Gin
- 25ml Drambui
- 25ml passion fruit juice
Shake with ice, strain and enjoy.
Autumn is upon us, what a perfect season for our Redsmith Apple Martinez.
- 50 ml Nottingham Dry Apple Gin
- 25 ml Sweet red vermouth
- 2 dashes Maraschino
- 2 dashes Orange bitters
Stir with ice, strain and savour.
September is that time of year when there is an abundance of wonderful produce, both foraged and cultivated, time for a Redsmith gin and jam cocktail!
- 50 ml Redsmith London Dry Gin
- 20 ml lemon juice
- 10 ml simple syrup
- 2 barspoons of your favourite Jam
Place all the ingredients in a shaker and stir to dissolve the jam. Add ice to the shaker and shake the contents really well. Strain and enjoy.
With the weather warming up it is time for a Redsmith gin South Side cocktail!
- 50 ml Redsmith London Dry Gin
- 25 ml lemon juice, finely strained
- 15 ml sugar syrup
- 6 mint leaves
Shake well with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a sprig of mint.
Summer is now with us and a time for a Redsmith gin and ice cream cocktail!
- 50 ml Redsmith London Dry Gin
- 2 dashes of white wine (we used Lillet Blanc as an alternative)
- 1 generous scoop of good vanilla ice cream
Shake really well, no ice needed. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with grated nutmeg.
Just in time for National Olive Day is the Comet, as described in the Cafe Royal Cocktail Book and invented by Dorothy Perosino.
The Redsmith Comet gin cocktail recipe:
- 50 mls Redsmith Aranceto Dry Orange Gin
- 50 mls Lillet Blanc
- 2 dashes of Maraschino
Mix icy cold, strain and garnish with a nice plump olive.
A classic gin cocktail that was the signature drink at The Pegu Club in Yangon, Myanmar. One of its earliest mentions was in the book "ABC of Mixing Cocktails."
The Pegu Club gin cocktail recipe:
- 50 mls Redsmith London Dry Gin
- 25 mls Curaçao
- 5 mls Rose’s Lime Cordial or fresh lime juice
- 1 dash of orange bitters
- 1 dash of Angostura bitters
Shake with ice, strain and enjoy a classic gin cocktail first mixed over one hundred years ago.
